Below is the note from Jackson County Public Health:

Dear Parent/guardian of Lee's Summit Student -

As you and your student are looking forward to a new school year, you have a lot of things on your list! We want to help you take care of them. If your student is entering 8th or 12th grade, they may be due for routine immunizations.

You can use this link to review the list of immunizations required for school.

  • Most 8th grade students will need Tdap and MCV4.
    • HPV is also highly recommended at this age.
  • Most 12th grade students will need: MCV4
    • MenB and HPV are also highly recommended at this age.

We will be coming to your school district to offer these vaccines for your convenience. Please sign up your student no later than Wednesday, May 20th at 8:00 a.m.

Note: with prior registration, you do not have to be present at the time of vaccination.

Registration is highly encouraged to guarantee availability. Walk-ins are welcome while supplies last, but a parent/guardian must be present with insurance information.

If this date and time will not work for your student, please sign up for an appointment at our office using this link. We strongly encourage you to get these immunizations prior to July to avoid the back-to-school rush and longer wait times.

Thank you for the opportunity to provide this important protection for your student.

Sincerely,

Estela Fernandez, MSPM
